Things Happen For a Reason (?)

You ever just not get what you’ve wanted, or lost something you wish you had; and then you think to yourself that “Oh well, things happen for a reason”?

Yeah, well things may happen for a reason but the time between that reason and reality feels like shit, and honestly I find it hard to get it off my mind. And even when you finally get it out of your head, the slightest thought about it suddenly produces questions that cannot be answered by myself.

Do you think things happen for a reason? Or are just brought together by luck or chance?

At the time, when these things happen, it feels horrible and unfair. But I’m always in hope that in reflection, I realise that it happened for the better. But even then I find it hard to believe myself.
In times like that, as agonising as it may feel, “things happen for a reason” doesn’t sound like a bad option to turn to after all.

I just hope that it’s sooner rather than later.
